Noise pollution was monitored in a four-day operation at Aberdeen airport which ended yesterday (July 21st), it has been reported.
The procedure is part of a planning agreement between the airport and Aberdeen city council which enables it to operate 24 hours a day, according to Budget Airline News.
Stuart Torpey, the airport's environment manager, told the website he is committed to monitoring the site's impact on its surroundings.
"And through the annual noise monitoring exercise combined with other environmental monitoring regimes allow us to identify and target areas for improvement," he added.
It was reported last week in the Kenilworth Weekly News that Rugby residents are opposing a hotel's plans to build a make-shift entertainment venue to showcase the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Ricky Hatton, due to fears over the levels of noise pollution it will create.
Princethorpe's Woodhouse Hotel recently held a Supremes concert in its grounds, which was described as a source of "horrendous" noise pollution by one local resident, Diane Whitehouse.
