High Wycombe has some of the best green homes in the country, according to a new survey.
The south Buckinghamshire town came sixth in the internet study, which also singled out its eco-friendly businesses, organisations and "representatives per population".
"High Wycombe has an impressive environmental record, with one of the highest concentrations of green businesses in the UK," confirmed Tony Martin, chairman of locallife.co.uk, the organisation which conducted the survey.
Mr Martin went on to tell the Bucks Free Press that the town's carbon footprint and effort to build green homes "put other urban areas to shame".
According to the newspaper, factors taken into account by locallife.co.uk included towns' double glazing services, recycling centres and environmental consultants.
Rental specialists at Letting News reminded property owners this month that if they choose to rent out their houses, they must pay extra attention to energy-saving features such as double glazing and insulation ahead of the October introduction of mandatory Energy Performance Certificates.
With Energy Efficiency products supplied as standard, homeowners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality double glazed doors to suit your home.
