Residents in a Suffolk village are opposing plans to build a caravan park over fears of the noise pollution it could create, it has been reported.
The development is proposed for the Grove Farm site in Linstead Magna, near Halesworth, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
A special meeting of Chediston and Linstead parish council was called and attracted more than 35 people as the noise pollution and other fears about the proposal were aired.
Villagers are also worried about congestion levels and the lack of amenities in the area due to the scale of the plans to build 59 static mobile homes and 17 touring caravans.
"These plans will more than double the size of the village. At the moment Linstead has about 40 houses and the development has the potential for 400 people which equates to roughly 200 cars," one resident told the publication.
It was reported by the Yorkshire Post earlier this week that plans to build a new school in Keighley looks set to be approved despite the local opposition over fears of noise pollution.
