Frustrated residents in Gloucestershire have had double glazing windows installed in a bid to combat noise pollution caused by rowdy teenagers.

According to the Gazette, groups of youngsters have been wreaking havoc in a Yate park, particularly on Friday nights.

"You can hear their abusive language quite clearly from our back garden," one unnamed resident remarked to the paper, pointing out that buying replacement windows had alleviated the problem somewhat.

New doors could also be on the agenda, however, as the concerned individual claimed that his family's front door had been "kicked in".

"A lot of residents have experienced significant disturbances, particularly those with young families," confirmed neighbourhood policing Sergeant Andy McIlrath.

Earlier this month, a young Lanarkshire woman was fined £100 after what officials deemed to be repeated noise pollution violations.

Anne Nelson, who is 23, continuously ignored noise pollution warnings from the council, reported East Kilbride News.

In addition to the fixed financial penalty, she had her "noise-making" equipment seized.
