A Fareham eco homes project is offering first-time buyers the chance to go green, it has been reported.
The Barratt Homes development offers one and two-bedroom apartments from £136,000 under a new 'head start' scheme that means buyers pay a five per cent deposit.
Catherine Ferguson, the firm's sales director, told Easier Property the new system offers a "real bonus" for those struggling to pay rent or save for a large deposit.
Homes at the Connexions development come with double glazing, energy-efficient central heating and a ten-year NHBC warranty.
It is also within walking distance from a railway station with good commuter links to Portsmouth and Southampton.
"People moving up to a larger home can benefit from our part exchange option," Ms Ferguson added.
"It ensures a stress-free move - without agency fees and any of the worry of dealing with viewers or unstable chains."
Gordon Brown has set a target of three million extra homes to be built by 2020, and earlier this year the government shortlisted 15 possible locations for the prime minister's project to create ten eco-towns.
With Energy Efficiency windows supplied as standard, homeowners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality double glazed windows to suit your home.
