Carrying out green home improvements can help "seal the deal" when it comes to selling a property.

That is the conclusion of organisers at the Homebuyer and Property Investor Show, taking place in London next month.

According to the eco homes experts, the saleability and asking price of homeowners will be boosted by home improvements including upvc windows, external door reinforcements, double glazing windows and home security features.

In a January survey carried out by the professionals behind the show, it was revealed that over half of respondents are drawn to eco homes which have had impressive home improvements carried out.

Nick Clark, managing director of the Homebuyer and Property Investor Show, pointed out that the introduction of Energy Performance Certificates made it even more important for sellers to think about saving energy.

"In the current market, it is essential that sellers pull out all stops to make their home stand out and get the highest price for their property," he remarked, adding that any money spent on home improvements should be considered "an investment".

A recent study carried out by Halifax Home Insurance indicated that almost three million rooms have "disappeared" from the UK's homes as a result of the growing trend to carry out home improvements.

With Energy Efficiency windows supplied as standard, home owners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality double glazed uPVC windows to suit your home.
