Environmentally-conscious house hunters are expected to be tempted by a new housing development being built in Manchester.
Located just off Princess Parkway in the south of the city, the Christie Fields development aims to appeal to those who want to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
Built on Derwent Avenue, Chorlton, it will include 30 three-storey four-bedroom homes which are all being built with energy efficiency in mind.
Sue Clark, sales manager at David McLean Homes which has planned the project, said: "Christie Fields is one of our flagship sites and a rare opportunity for us to make an impressive contribution to a popular and respected suburb.
"We think that the Christie Fields combination will prove very popular with south Manchester's professional families looking for a modern and energy-efficient [home]."
Green measures being implemented by the builders include cavity wall insulation and solar-powered water heating.
It is also being built near a busy public transport hub to try to reduce the number of people using their cars in the area.
