People who work from home can save on overheads with the installation of double glazing, according to the Energy Saving Trust (EST).
Working in the home appears to be growing increasingly popular, with Microsoft recently giving the green light to 90 per cent of its UK staff to work flexibly, Freelance UK reports.
However, the EST claims a property that is inefficient energy-wise might land a home-based worker with an extra £900 in utility bills over the next three years.
The trust suggests that loft and wall insulation can cut heat loss from the home by 50 per cent, while double glazing can not only cut the amount of heat lost through windows by half but will also reduce disturbance from noise outside.
Last month, the Federation of Master Builders recommended that people who wish to make their homes more eco-friendly should prioritise the addition of insulation and double glazing.
To make a home warmer, quieter and less expensive to heat, why not invest in double glazing.
