Elderly residents in Wales are being offered free insulation in a bid to cut heating bills and protect the environment.
News Wales reports that people over the age of 70 will have access to schemes designed to help towards the cost of insulation, with a specialist home energy officer dedicated to promoting the initiative.
"On offer regardless of income, insulation is the easiest way to make homes warmer in summer and cooler in summer," noted the news provider.
It went on to explain that as energy bills continue to rise, the focus of the home officer will be on making sure people have access to relevant schemes which will help to heat their homes affordably while protecting the environment by reducing fuel consumption.
Home improvements specialists suggest that efficient insulation, achieved via replacement windows and high-quality doors, can save over £100 every year in energy bills, while cavity wall insulation can add an extra saving of up to £90.
With Energy Efficiency windows and doors as standard, homeowners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality windows and doors to suit your home.
