Luxury eco homes' renovations are on the rise, according to one commentator.
Tara Loader Wilkinson wrote in the wealth-bulletin that home improvements such as the installation of sheep's-wool insulation, underfloor heating, rainwater harvesting and aerodynamic roofing are joining double glazing windows as way to transform luxury properties into eco homes.
According to the report, the home improvements market for Brits second properties abroad is performing well as the Peralta Beach eco-resort on the coast of Portugal boasts some of the first zero-carbon luxury residencies.
The report added that luxury eco homes pioneer, Six Senses, is building 20 sustainable villas at its Thai Soneva Kiri resort on the island of Koh Kood, which look set to cost between $4 million (£2 million) and $6 million.
It was reported by the BBC earlier in the month that the European Union has announced plans to enable member states to offer tax breaks for local service businesses carrying out home improvements such as the installation of double glazing.
With Energy Efficiency windows supplied as standard, homeowners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality double glazed windows to suit your home.
