Less noise pollution and improved home security are just two of the reasons more of the UK's terraced houses should have upvc windows, according to one eco-campaigner.
Writing in the Ripon Gazette, local resident Adrian Whitling called for more green homes in the area to be able to benefit from having upvcdoor and window models.
He singled out such upvc features' energy efficiency, ease of cleaning and "controlled ventilation".
"Easy to clean, no rotting wood or peeling paint, they relieve the owners of the financial and repeat burden of redecoration," stated Mr Whitling, adding that the doors and windows prevent dirt from blowing into a house and "greatly reduce" noise pollution.
Boosted home security is another bonus outlined by the disgruntled homeowner, as is greater energy efficiency.
Residents of the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury were recently guided one step ahead in the drive for improved home security in the area's green homes.
Officials joined forces to offer local homeowners free advice, window locks and smoke alarms, as well as hints and tips on reinforced double glazing and garden lights.
With Energy Efficiency products supplied as standard, home owners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality uPVC double glazed products to suit your home.
