A range of new homes in Stoke-on-Trent has proved itself as one of the nation's most energy-efficient developments.
The Debut homes at Pavilion Lock have received an 'excellent' rating from the Building Research Establishment (BRE), meaning that they have successfully balanced environmental performance with the need for a high quality of living.
Deborah Brownhill, commercial director at the BRE's BREEAM centre, said that the development "yet again highlight's Redrow's commitment to providing sustainable and affordable housing throughout the UK".
Redrow Homes' technical director, Mike Bury, said that the 'excellent' score was a further example of the developer's commitment to creating new communities which are eco-friendly "and encourage their inhabitants to be more aware of the environment around them".
The 137 one and two-bedroom homes are built using modern methods of construction, speeding up the build programme while ensuring a high standard of quality.
Buyers will benefit from communal heating and hot water systems and a single monthly service charge, covering all external maintenance, water, gas, electricity and buildings insurance.
