Prince Charles will develop a country residence in an environmentally friendly manner were planning permission to be granted, it has been advised.
The BBC has revealed that the Prince is attempting to extend his Llwynywormwood property in Myddfai, Carmarthenshire, purchased last year as a Welsh base for the royal.
Clarence House has said that insulation made from sheep's wool and other environmentally friendly innovations such as a wood chip boiler will be installed as part of the renovations.
However, the Prince has been accused of hypocrisy regarding his green credentials after Buckingham Palace finances revealed that he had made several flights across the world in the past financial year.
"The Queen is pleased with Charles' leadership (on carbon emissions)," a palace aide nonetheless asserted, according to EDP24.co.uk
"Following the leadership of the Prince of Wales, the Royal Household has started working on measuring its carbon footprint and is developing further action plans for reducing it," added Sir Alan Reid, keeper of the privy purse.
