Homes in the town of Goole are to receive a number of improvements, including new double glazing, over the next few months.
According to the Goole and Howden Courier, work on the second phase of the Changing Streets scheme will begin in the next two weeks, with some of the work due to be completed in phase three being brought forward.
Some 250 homes, based on eight of the region's streets, will benefit from a revamp as part of the second phase and will have their old timber doors and windows replaced with upvc double glazed versions.
They will also have their brickwork cleaned and re-pointed.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported by the Evening Courier that homes in Calerdale are set to pass the government's fitness test.
According to the publication, some 8,500 homes in the region have been made over, with new kitchens and double glazing being fitted.
With Energy Efficiency windows supplied as standard, homeowners can now save even more on their heating bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Visit the Safestyle website to see a range of top quality double glazed windows to suit your home.
