At Safestyle we love when our employees are passionate about great causes and want to support and help charities that they really care about. We aim to make sure that employees' fundraising efforts are rewarded with our matched giving policy. The company will match the amount that any employee has fundraised for a registered charity or organisation up to the value of £250.
Employees at our Peterborough branch completed The Great Eastern Run to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The team was organised by Lester Rozario who has worked as a sales representative at Safestyle for five years. The charity is a cause very close to each runners heart as they all know someone who has been affected by cancer and the pain that it causes.
The team asked for donations from their family, friends and fellow employees before taking part in the 5k fun run to raise money for such a great cause. By completing the run Lester and his team have managed to raise an amazing £1440 which will go directly to the charity. As part of our employee matched giving policy Safestyle have also made a £250 donation to their fundraising.
Macmillan Cancer Support offer help and advice to those who are suffering or affected by someone suffering from cancer. They offer a range of support including help with money worries and being someone who'll listen and talk through all concerns with individuals and their family members. They are there to offer guidance right from the moment of getting diagnosed, during the treatment and afterwards. They also arrange activities to make sure those affected and their loved ones can make the most of their life and meet other people going through a similar situation.
