Bradford Nightstop charity donation
Our goal at Safestyle Giving is the to help smaller, local charities that are struggling to get as many donations as larger national organisations. It's our mission to give such charities a little extra help that they may need during difficult times.
We're delighted to announce that Bradford Nightstop has been selected as the first charity to receive a sizeable donation from us. Bradford Nightstop is a small, independent charity that operates in and around the Bradford area, helping to tackle youth homelessness and provide accommodation for 16-24 year olds who are sleeping on the streets. The charity was selected by our head office staff because of their outstanding work in the local area. They offer a range of services from providing emergency accommodation to giving preventative education lessons to schools in the local area.
Bradford Nightstop have been helping young people all over the city for over 20 years, during that time they have provided over 10,000 beds to homeless 16-24 year olds. Their emergency scheme offers those without somewhere to stay for the night a bed in the home of a vetted and trained volunteer. Offering a short term solution, homeless people are prevented from sleeping rough until their problem can be resolved. While the bed is only for one night the charity gives help and advice and refers people to other organisations to help get them off the streets. In just one night they are given a safe room of their own, transport, meals, washing supplies, basic essential supplies and then support for their next step.
There are many reasons why a person can end up on the streets, it could be from a family or relationship breakdown, losing a parent or loved one or simply from falling on hard times. Many people never think that they will be homeless, but bad circumstances often leave vulnerable people with nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Bradford Nightstop and their incredible volunteers do not judge and do all they can to help young people get off the streets and restart their live; this is why we at Safestyle think that they're such a worthy charity to receive our first donation.
Nightstop is often the last resort 16-24 year olds take, without it they can face the never ending worry of sleeping rough with no way out. To find out more about the amazing work they do and to make a donation please visit their website: https://www.bradfordnightstop.org.uk.
