Cleaning your windows frames regularly will help keep in great condition and will help towards preventing any damage occurring. We recommend cleaning them around 4 times a year, and the more frequently you clean your window frames the easier the task will be each time.
A good starting point is to open the windows fully, and using a duster brush around the inside of the frame. This will help to loosen any unwanted dirt or dust that may have been stuck to the window.
Our recommendation would be to start cleaning and regularly maintaining your windows shortly after they’ve been installed – this way any unwanted marks or stains should come straight with off with a soft white cloth and some warm, soapy water. Please note that it’s very important that you only ever use white cloths, as the dye in the coloured cloths could stain the plastic in the frames.
If you're finding that this isn’t working to your satisfaction, then you can try using a uPVC solvent cleaner restorer or any non-abrasive regular household cleaner. After using these cleaning agents, make sure to wash the frame with soapy water and any marks should be greatly reduced. Please be wary that using the cleaner on any of the silicone seals could cause them to peel away.

When your uPVC windows need cleaning uncoloured multipurpose cream cleaner will work on most types of dirt. For coloured or greyed frames you can also use most types of washing up liquid, diluted in warm water with a sponge or cloth. Be sure to check any cleaner you use doesn't contain dyes that can taint white frames or contains abrasive chemicals. Wipe away any excess water with a dry cloth or paper towel.
